Potential Vascular Conduits/The Physical Exam/REBOA/Penetrating Trauma

The goal of this program is to improve selection of alternative conduits in patients requiring grafts, attention to primary physical examination, management of hemorrhage with resuscitative endo vascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA), and management of penetrating trauma with retroperitoneal hematoma. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify factors which increase risk for graft failure. 2. Recognize signs of retrocecal appendix. 3. Relate localized abdominal pain to specific bowel conditions. 4. Select a method of arterial access for REBOA. 5. Choose between operative and nonoperative management of renal injury
