Practical Pharmacology: Outpatient Assessment is designed to assess healthcare providers’ knowledge gaps in pharmacology and direct their learning pathways based on weaknesses and results. This activity will improve participants pharmacological knowledge to effectively determine differential diagnoses, develop treatment strategies, and minimize the occurrence of medication errors during patient care. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: (1) Understand the mechanism of action of commonly prescribed medications, (2) Identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse side effects to improve patient safety, (3) Describe the therapeutic uses and indications for specific medications, (4) Engage in critical thinking and decision-making when selecting appropriate drug therapies.
