The goal of this program is to improve preoperative medical evaluation. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Determine whether a patient requires preoperative cardiac clearance. 2. Compare the accuracy of scores used to determine risk for major cardiac adverse events in patients undergoing surgery. 3. Appropriately manage medications during the perioperative period. 4. Implement an appropriate treatment approach for patients with potential for adrenal insufficiency who are undergoing surgery.
