After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Avoid unnecessary diagnostic studies in patients with asymptomatic carotid stenosis. 2. Follow recommendations from the American Gastroenterology Association regarding use of proton pump inhibitors. 3. Diagnose anxiety disorders in patients. 4. Cite guidelines for pharmacologic management of pulmonary embolism (PE) in the acute phase. 5. Optimize use of alteplase in management of PE.
