The goal of this program is to improve management of prolonged fevers in children and management of syphilis and Clostridiodes difficile infection in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify potential causes of prolonged fever through physical examination. 2. Select the best imaging methods for additional evaluation of a child with prolonged fever. 3. Illustrate symptoms in various stages of syphilis. 4. Interpret treponemal and nontreponemal antibody testing results for syphilis. 5. Optimize diagnosis and treatment of Clostridioides difficile infection.
