The goal of this program is to improve the management of resistant hypertension and infection after transplantation. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Select appropriate combinations of antihypertensives to treat resistant hypertension. 2. Explain screening recommendations for primary aldosteronism in patients with resistant hypertension. 3. Compare furosemide with thiazides in patients with resistant hypertension and hyperkalemia. 4. Choose appropriate antiviral agents for prophylaxis and treatment of cytomegalovirus in patients after organ transplantation. 5. Implement pediatric guidelines for administering vaccines after transplantation.
