The goal of this program is to improve care for patients undergoing robotic urologic surgeries and patient satisfaction by following health care practices included in recent legislative activity. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Follow the clinical pathway for same-day discharge.
2. Optimize management of pain after urologic surgery.
3. Use ultralow peritoneum pressure in robot-assisted urologic surgery.
4. Explain changes in legislation in the state of Illinois associated with intersex and transgender issues.
5. List changes to legislation associated with health care practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.
