The practice of clinical pharmacy continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Clinical Pharmacy Practitioners (CPPs) are expected to stay current on changes in practice, this is not only a requirement to maintaining licensure but also helps them be more knowledgeable members of their interdisciplinary care teams. The NCHCS Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner Update series aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and competency of CPPs from a variety of specialties across the health care system. It is designed to address knowledge gaps and participant needs, as identified by the pharmacy team. Each session in this series is a live virtual presentation that will present updates on new and innovative developments in clinical pharmacy practice (e.g., changes to guidelines, literature, medications, non-pharmaceutical interventions, adverse effects). By the end of this knowledge-based live virtual series, attendees will have a better understanding of disease states presented and the best pharmacotherapy options/methods to treat them.
