With the abundance of medical literature leading to ever evolving and changing medical knowledge, the practicing pharmacist is challenged to stay informed. The CAVH 2024-2025 Pharmacy Education Series for Pharmacists is a knowledge-based activity designed to address gaps in knowledge and gaps in clinical and precepting skills by updating pharmacists on current and important pharmacological literature and developments as well as providing preceptor development, relevant to the practice and teaching of clinical pharmacy at a Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The primary goals of this virtual-live and live program are 1) producing change in clinical practice, thereby 2) improving the care of individual Veterans but also 3)resulting in improvements in Veteran Healthcare outcomes overall and 4) strengthening the pharmacy residency and pharmacy student programs through the development of pharmacist preceptors.
