The Lunch with the Chief Speaker Series is an ongoing live virtual forum for presentation of topics related to Mental Health clinical practice, applicable to a wide range of professional disciplines and pertaining to a wide range of patient presentations, including patients with varying diagnostic concerns and from a range of backgrounds, including variations in age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. This forum will address the need for providers to continually update their awareness, knowledge, and skills in a variety of aspects of clinical care. The focus of all presentations will be to deliver updates of a variety of clinical topics to enable providers to effectively analyze and appreciate the information in order to better inform clinical decision making (e.g., making effective and appropriate referrals, discussing appropriate treatment options with Veterans) and direct clinical practice (e.g., applying specific, relevant clinical interventions). Providers/interprofessional healthcare teams who participate in this speaker series will be able to apply clinical knowledge and skills addressed in multiple aspects of clinical practice, including (but not limited to) assessment, psychoeducation, service referral, treatment planning, and clinical intervention.
