In accordance with VA s mission to provide safe, quality patient care to Veterans, educate healthcare professionals, and conduct research, we will be hosting a weekly journal club. A survey was administered to mental health staff at the Madison VA and practice gaps and topics of interest were identified. Each week we will have a provider from mental health, or a mental health related discipline, present a summary of research articles related to those topics. The purpose of this 1-hour live virtual educational activity is to increase knowledge and awareness of current research in clinical practice among the mental healthcare team and to provide practitioners with an opportunity for continuing education. These knowledge-based sessions will offer participants information and resources to continue to expand their knowledge about the latest mental health research. Keeping clinicians well-informed of the mental health research and treatments will allow us to continue to provide the best possible care to veterans.
