The purpose of this knowledge-based continuing education series is to address the current gap in qualified pharmacy personnel to be up to date with guideline updates as it relates to medication use to best treat patients. This face to face education or live virtual series is to provide pharmacy personnel a forum to explore guideline updates, current and emerging treatment and best practices as it relates to medication use to better treat our Veteran population. Pharmacy staff, facility and national leadership recognize that staff require education to remain current in practice and ensure the latest evidence-based practice is employed in the clinical setting. This continuing education series will provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy didactic and interactive lectures to review literature, guidelines, and pharmacy practice models. This series will provide opportunities for our pharmacist and pharmacy technician staff to stay up to date with new pharmaceutical advancements, improving staff knowledge base and overall patient care. Program participants will participate in electronic evaluation after each presentation to evaluate the effectiveness of this educational initiative. This activity will primarily be providing knowledge to the pharmacy staff, with opportunities for application through case-based team discussions
