Schwartz Center Rounds - Dell Seton

Schwartz Center Rounds - Dell Seton

Schwartz Center Rounds sessions are a multidisciplinary forum where caregivers discuss difficult emotional and social issues that arise in caring for patients. A case is presented by a panel of ~ 3 healthcare professionals representing multiple disciplines and points of view. A facilitator then engages the audience in an interactive discussion about the case and participants shared experiences. This activity addresses professional isolation and lack of awareness of how others on care teams are affected by challenges in patient care. It also provides a specific venue within the hospital for purposeful dialogue that targets emotional, moral, and psychosocial concerns raised in stressful or challenging patient care experiences.
