SEVERE NECROTIZING SOFT TISSUE INFECTIONS/ANORECTAL DISORDERS AND DISEASES

The goal of this program is to improve management of severe nec-rotizing soft tissue infections (NSTIs) and treatment of anorectal disorders. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Distinguish type 1 from type 2 NSTIs.
2. Contrast outcomes in patients who have NSTI and shorter dura-tion times to surgery with patients who wait longer durations.
3. Differentiate NSTI caused by Clostridium septicum from NSTI caused by other organisms.
4. Optimize management of anterior fistula in women.
5. Perform a banding procedure in a patient with hemorrhoids.
