The goal of this program is to improve the detection of child sexual abuse and detection and management of hearing loss in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clini cian will be better able to: 1. Identify concerning behaviors that may indicate sexual abuse in children. 2. Ensure the safety and comfort of children during physical examination for signs of sexual abuse. 3. Support healing in children following sexual abuse or unwanted contact. 4. Recognize the importance of early language access in child development. 5. Assess the role of cochlear implants for individuals with severe to profound hearing differences.
