The goal of this program is to improve treatment of single-sided deafness (SSD), management of otologic complications associated with elevated body mass index (BMI), and obstruc-tive sleep apnea (OSA). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Differentiate monoaural hearing loss and binaural hearing loss.
2. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of bone con-duction hearing devices.
3. Choose appropriate candidates for cochlear implants.
4. Optimize diagnosis and treatment of cerebrospinal fluid leaks.
5. Diagnose SSCD using audiometric testing.
