PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program will review the literature regarding the medical and surgical management of sinus headache patients. A focus will be placed on the diagnosis and management of migraine in these patients, which is responsible for up to 90% of “sinus headache” complaints. A secondary focus will be on differentiating these migraineurs from patients with true rhinogenic headache. The goal is to provide a program that is useful clinically as well as enlightening academically.OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: diagnose migraine in patients presenting with sinus headache complaintsOUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: differentiate rhinogenic headache from mid facial migraine presentationsOUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: provide appropriate medical and surgical management options to the sinus headache patientBACKGROUND STATEMENT: Studies over the last 15 years have shown that most “sinus headaches” are actually migraine. This presentation covers the diagnosis and treatment “sinus headache” migraine and differentiation from rhinogenic headache. For 17 years now, the course gets good attendance and excellent reviews
