The goal of this program is to improve management of stroke using reversal agents for anticoagulants and antiplatelet therapy, and diagnosis and management of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Estimate the risk for massive intracranial hemorrhage expansion associated with common anticoagulants. 2. Cite the indications for anticoagulant reversal based on patient-specific factors and clinical presentation. 3. Select appropriate reversal agents for different types of anticoagulants. 4. Differentiate between acquired and hereditary causes of demyelination. 5. Perform a diagnostic workup to differentiate Charcot- Marie-Tooth disease from chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.
