The goal of this program is to improve screening for suicidality in children and adolescents and screening and cessation counseling for vaping in children and adolescents. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Elaborate on the black box warning for antidepressants and suicidality. 2. Compare the relative efficacy of various treatment modalities for depression and suicidality in children and adolescents. 3. Implement screening recommendations for suicidality in the pediatric population. 4. Identify the health effects associated with e-cigarettes. 5. Provide anticipatory guidance to support adolescents and their parents in quitting vaping.
