This course addresses the various clinical aspects of suprascapular nerve (SSN) injuries. While the elusive nature of suprascapular nerve injury etiology persists, this course covers the complexities of its pathophysiology, including compression, traction, and inflammatory cascades. Often labeled as idiopathic, these manifestations pose diagnostic challenges.Throughout this activity, learners explore SSN injuries, covering diverse factors contributing to their clinical presentation. The intricacies of direct mechanical compression at the suprascapular and spinoglenoid notches, anatomical variations, and the impact of occupational or athletic overuse conditions on SSN dysfunction are discussed.A key aspect of this course lies in recognizing the pivotal role of the interprofessional team in diagnosing and managing SSN injuries. By participating in this program, healthcare professionals will enhance their competence through collaborative learning. Interdisciplinary insights will be gained, empowering team members to navigate the nuanced landscape of SSN injuries effectively.
