Telemedicine: Common Conditions is a video-based activity that will help clinicians master essential telemedicine best practices for the most common, acute episodic care chief complaints, by using evidence-based clinical reasoning and guidelines. This program targets Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Physicians, and others interested in transitioning to telemedicine. At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Recognize and effectively navigate the telemedicine clinical encounter to optimize patient safety and outcomes. Review the basics of clinical reasoning and effective non-technical skills to facilitate the virtual live-video clinical encounter. Critically assess and apply evidence-based published literature and guidelines into the virtual clinical encounter. Evaluate the need for an in person clinical encounter based on patient presentation, virtual exam, and health history in the virtual encounter. Develop and master essential clinical and non-clinical skills to facilitate clinical information acquisition.
