Attendees will gain a better understanding of basic mechanisms and treatment options relevant to chronic ear disease to better plan treatment and avoid treatment failures. We will review key basic mechanisms underlying chronic otitis media with particular emphasis on: underlying disease pathophysiology and histology, middle ear acoustic mechanisms relevant to diseased and reconstructed ears and emerging concepts of microbiology and ototopical therapies.
