Anatomic Imaging in Sports Medicine Manuscripts: Pearls and Pitfalls for How to Approach Your Review Derik L. Davis, MD Dr. Davis will provide guidelines for reviewers in evaluating commonly encountered anatomic imaging modalities in sports medicine manuscripts and discuss when anatomic imaging adds value to or detracts from the stated purpose of a manuscript. Attendees will learn to specify examples of imaging do s and don ts in manuscripts for reviewers to recognize with respect to study design, methodology, and interpretation of results. Understanding Statistical Graphics in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Research James L. Carey, MD, MPH Dr. Carey will discuss some basic and advanced methods of visualizing data. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding statistical graphics that can be used to visually communicate complex relationships and uncertainty. Some examples taken directly from the orthopaedic sports medicine literature will be used to highlight key principles.
