Recent advances in the treatment of gynecologic cancers are promising, and education is needed to ensure that both oncology and primary care clinicians, including OB/GYNs, have a thorough knowledge of biomarkers, current and emerging therapies, and how the latest clinical trial data translates to real-world practice. Maintenance therapy, particularly for endometrial cancer (EC) can be especially promising, helping to prolong the response of regular therapy and delay the need for additional therapies. Members of the multidisciplinary team tasked with care for patients with EC need to know about potential maintenance therapy options and determine the value of each for those recently diagnosed or living with recurrent EC. In the first activity of this CME Outfitters podcast series on gynecologic cancers, expert faculty will present and discuss the very latest research on maintenance treatment of EC and how to assess its value for newly diagnosed patients and those with recurrent EC.
