The goal of this program is to improve the management of thyroid disease in reproductive-age women and insulin use in pregnancy. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Recognize the association between thyroid function and fertility. 2. Implement strategies for identifying and managing subclin ical hypothyroidism. 3. Optimize care for overt thyroid diseases. 4. Prescribe appropriate dosing regimens for insulin use in pregnancy. 5. Counsel patients on storage and self-administration of insulin.
