The goal of this program is to improve management of indeter minate thyroid nodules, management of thyroid nodules with surgery, and management of sleep difficulties with cannabis. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify features of thyroid lesions on ultrasonography which are associated with malignancy. 2. Select patients with indeterminate thyroid nodules to undergo molecular marker testing. 3. Relate incidence of hypoparathyroidism to prophylactic central neck dissection. 4. Use node diameter to select patients with recurrent thyroid carcinoma for surgical management. 5. Choose cannabis derivatives to improve sleep difficulties.
