Welcome to Hand Hygiene: Counting Compliance
This course provides a review of the importance of hand hygiene and compliance monitoring. The learner is presented with the critical components of a hand hygiene monitoring program followed by an opportunity to practice observations. Finally, the participant will be guided through a sample Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) project.

As a result of participation in this course members of the healthcare team will be able to:

Discuss the importance of monitoring hand hygiene compliance
Describe components of direct observation hand hygiene monitoring
List the critical components of a hand hygiene Quality Assurance Performance Improvement project
