The continued emergence of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) has become one of the most concerning global public health threats today. MDROs are present in all healthcare settings but their impact in nursing homes is of significant concern due to the vulnerability of the residents and the increased risk of transmission in these settings. This course will focus on understanding how MDROs develop, how they spread and what can be done to reduce their emergence and prevent their spread.
