The goal of this program is to improve approaches to all-terrain vehicle (ATV) injuries, interaction with law enforcement in the trauma bay, and management of rhabdomyolysis. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. List risk factors associated with ATV-related fatalities.
2. Optimize treatment of ATV-related injuries in pediatric patients in the emergency department.
3. List social determinants affecting the health of patients.
4. Cite causes for rhabdomyolysis.
5. Identify patients with rhabdomyolysis using the creatine kinase test.
