NOTE: This activity is available only as part of a paid subscription series; it is not available for purchase as a single, stand-alone activity.

The goal of this program is to review the challenges faced in trauma care during the COVID-19 pandemic, improve the use of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) appropriately in trauma and nontrauma patients, use of advanced resuscitative care, and management of space flight launch and landing medical emergencies. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:

2. Utilize the REBOA device appropriately in trauma and nontrauma patients.
3. Determine whether the use of REBOA is appropriate in a patient with postpartum hemorrhage.
4. Select appropriate resuscitation products in the prehospital setting.
