The objective of this continuing pharmacy education (CPE) and continuing medical education (CME) program is to provide pharmacists and physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with a comprehensive understanding of nosocomial pneumonia, including ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). The educational sessions will focus on disease states, epidemiology, common pathogens, and current treatment options based on the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) guidelines. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to optimize patient care and enhance antimicrobial stewardship in the management of nosocomial pneumonia.
