The goal of this program is to improve the management of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in elderly patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Recognize the limitations of the current recommendations and standard-of-care regimen in the treatment of older unfit patients with acute myeloid leukemia.
2. Devise less-intensive regimens with targeted therapies for older unfit patients by incorporating the newly approved medications for the treatment of AML.
