Treatment of Myelodysplastic Syndromes/Therapies for Gastrointestinal Malignancies

The goal of this program is to improve management of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Recognize the presenting clinical and pathologic features of MDS. 2. Analyze the risks and benefits of various supportive care measures for the management of MDS. 3. Understand changes to the diagnostic criteria and classification systems for MDS. 4. Devise evidence-based therapeutic strategies for the management of patients with low-risk or high-risk MDS. 5. Evaluate the role of adjuvant and neoadjuvant immunotherapy in the management of GI malignancies.
