The goal of this program is to improve the use of ultrasonography in acute care and tissue plane blocks. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be better able to:
1. Identify signs of cardiac tamponade using ultrasonography.
2. Interpret ultrasonographic artifacts that may indicate lung injuries.
3. Perform point-of-care ultrasonographic examinations to detect elevated intracranial pressure.
4. Use ultrasonography to identify appropriate targets for placement of tissue plane blocks.
5. Perform erector spinae blocks in appropriate pediatric candidates.
