The goal of this program is to improve the management of atrial fibrillation (AF), the quality of care in hospital medicine and out-patient settings, and the detection and treatment of cardiac device infections. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify individuals with heart failure who are likely to benefit from catheter ablation for AF. 2. Implement strategies for rhythm and rate control in patients with AF. 3. Differentiate between signs and symptoms of micro- and macroaspiration. 4. Choose appropriate treatment strategies for aspiration pneumonia. 5. Recognize signs and symptoms of cardiac device infections.
