The goal of this program is to improve diagnosis and manage ment of dementia in geriatric patients and management of mood disorders in Parkinson disease and other psychiatric challenges among the geriatric population. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be able to: 1. Outline the progression of psychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer disease. 2. Compare variants of frontotemporal dementia. 3. Use nonpharmacologic approaches in management of dementia. 4. Explain visual hallucinations in patients with Parkinson disease. 5. Optimize use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors in geriatric patients exhibiting sexually inappropriate behaviors.
