The goal of this program is to improve management of stroke during pregnancy and menstrual migraine. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Cite factors that increase risk for stroke in pregnant women.
2. Select appropriate imaging studies for pregnant women with a suspected stroke.
3. Develop treatment strategies for prevention and management of stroke during the pregnancy and postpartum period.
4. Recommend an appropriate nonpharmacologic treatment option to a patient with menstrual migraine.
5. Choose a novel mode of treatment of menstrual migraine.
