The goal of this program is to improve management of heart failure (HF). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Classify the severity of HF according to left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
2. Implement appropriate guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) for HF.
3. Weigh the benefits and risks of components of GDMT through analysis of trial results.
4. Prescribe additional medications following optimization of GDMT.
5. Recommend strategies to manage comorbidities.
