The goal of this program is to improve management of patients in internal medicine practices and improve management of patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Choose antihypertensive drugs based on patient risk for diabetes mellitus.
2. Evaluate and treat patients with secondary hypertension and resistant hypertension.
3. Develop strategies for management of adrenal incidentalomas, tapering of antidepressants, and screening for prostate cancer.
4. Use findings from Big Data studies of OSA to improve adherence to positive airway pressure therapy.
5. Identify patients at high risk for termination of continuous positive airway pressure therapy.
