The goal of this program is to improve outcomes of microlaryn-geal surgery, staging of salivary gland pathology, and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Counsel patients about potential benefits and risks of micro-laryngeal surgery.
2. Maximize preservation of the superficial lamina propria while performing vocal cord surgery.
3. Use the Milan system of staging to aid in the diagnosis of salivary gland tumors.
4. Choose effective surgical techniques for treatment of OSA.
5. Compare the efficacy of continuous positive airway pressure therapy with that of other treatment options for OSA.
