The goal of this program is to improve management of neovascular age-related macular degeneration. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Implement second-generation anti-vascular endothelial growth factor medications into the treatment regimen for neovascular AMD. 2. Analyze the efficacy and safety of port delivery systems for treatment of neovascular AMD. 3. Summarize the potential role of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and gene therapies for treatment of neovascular AMD.
