Course Objectives: Upon completion of the activity, participants should be better able to: – Describe the key elements of competency-based medical education (CBME) and its potential value to learners, patients, and society. – Identify key gaps and opportunities in the implementation of CBME, including the lack of equity in assessment systems. – Describe at least one application of stakeholder co-design methods to create more equitable assessment systems to support CBME. – Identify opportunities at University of Minnesota to participate in co-creating more equitable assessment systems in graduate medical education.
