The goal of this program is to improve management of uveal melanoma and papilledema. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify risk factors that increase the rate of transformation of choroidal nevi into uveal melanomas.
2. Utilize genetic testing to predict risk for metastasis of uveal melanoma.
3. Discuss current and future therapies to treat uveal melanoma while minimizing loss of vision.
4. Provide prompt workup of papilledema based on clinical presentation.
5. Select appropriate medical or surgical treatment for pseudo-tumor cerebri.
