The goal of this program is to improve management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in pregnancy and delivery of maternal fetal medicine (MFM) telehealth services in rural communities. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify risk factors for VTE in pregnancy. 2. Compare imaging modalities for diagnosis of VTE in pregnancy. 3. Prescribe appropriate anticoagulation for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding and at risk for VTE. 4. Understand basic requirements for implementation of MFM-obstetrics provider telehealth partnership. 5. Pinpoint barriers to adoption of MFM telehealth and possible solutions to overcome barriers.
