This condition occurs most commonly after obstetrical and gynecological injury. To avoid significant morbidity, distress, and psychosocial issues associated with vesicovaginal fistula, this condition must be accurately diagnosed and treated in a timely fashion. This activity reviews the evaluation and treatment of vesicovaginal fistulas and highlights the role of the healthcare team in managing patients with this condition.
