Vestibular Migraine: New Concepts and Treatments (2022 AMW)

Vestibular Migraine: New Concepts and Treatments (2022 AMW)

Vestibular migraine (VM) has emerged as one of the most common etiologies for recurrent and/or chronic vestibular symptoms in the general population. The presentation of VM can vary widely and often can masquerade as other disease processes, such as Meniere’s disease (MD). The goal of this instructional session is to discuss migraine pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria of migraine (including VM), and cover the various treatment options that may be beneficial for patients. We will also cover the significant overlap between VM and MD to help guide the clinician to make better decisions in treating patients with this challenging condition.
