The multidisciplinary endocarditis team is a group comprised of physicians (attendings, fellows, and residents), medical students, pharmacists, and physician assistants from the departments of cardiac surgery, internal medicine (hospital medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases) neurology, and addiction medicine that meets weekly to educate each other about multiple facets of care for these complex patients and ultimately craft an evidence-based multidisciplinary care plan. After this activity, participants will work together to enhance each other s learning and knowledge and will be able to create comprehensive care plans for complex endocarditis patients. We will also routinely review and integrate new evidence, guidelines, and literature to hone our expertise in this multidisciplinary niche.
