Women's and Children's Journal Club

Women's and Children's Journal Club

Throughout the year, physicians improve their practice and decision making by studying and collaboratively discussing upcoming/new/best practice treatment recommendations, and procedure indications in the Women s and Children s area. This forum provides an educational and collegial approach to continuously learn important, timely topics. Additional knowledge of in-house services and processes is continuously shared with physicians and ancillary staff, which provides a full range of comprehensive services to share with patients during their treatment course. Saddleback Medical Center participates in many data registries and a variety of areas are publicly reported. There are national, MHS, and Leapfrog benchmarks that are discussed and reported at a variety of meetings. Performance gaps are recognized and education on these important areas will be conducted. Focusing our educational topics on specific metrics will align our staffs performance with the hospital’s performance goals.
