Content experts in women’s health will review current literature and identify areas of practice where changes in practice are recommended. Topics that will receive particular attention are those that have new consensus guidelines, practice changing studies, and content areas where practice patterns do not meet standard of care. This training will teach interprofessional healthcare teams how to identify obstructive lung conditions that impact women Veterans, specifically those that are often related to airborne environmental exposures and hazards during military service. In addition, Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs) will have the opportunity to access training to competently perform their roles related to evaluating women Veterans with respiratory symptoms and promote guideline-concordant care for lung conditions, such as Asthma, COPD, and Constrictive bronchiolitis/inhalational lung injury.
