Returning Veterans still overwhelmingly have exposure concerns and the WRIISC (War Related Injury and Illness Study Center) assessment results indicate that many providers still lack the necessary knowledge and skill-set to diagnosis and manage a wide range of post-deployment conditions.
Clinicians are rarely provided formal training on research design and methodology and the challenges and tradeoffs involved. These are critical for interpretation and allow for applying not only “what is known” but the “what is likely” to particular cases using “evidence informed” clinical judgement.
The purpose of this recorded, knowledge-based presentation is to expand clinical care and best practices knowledge by being able to interpret published literature and incorporate best practices in clinical care. This recorded virtual training is appropriate for healthcare teams.
